Navy ship rack mattresses are smaller and narrower than standard household mattresses. Use this guide to compare common Crew, CPO, Officer and long rack dimensions before ordering your Rack Mat mattress topper.
Always measure your actual rack mattress before ordering. Shipboard configurations and replacement mattresses can vary.
| Rack Size | Dimensions | Typical Application |
|---|---|---|
| Crew | 26" × 76" | Common Navy ship and submarine enlisted rack |
| CPO | 28" × 76" | Common Chief/Senior Enlisted and some Coast Guard racks |
| Officer | 34" × 76" | Common stateroom/officer rack |
| Crew Long | 26" × 80" | Longer Crew configuration |
| CPO Long | 28" × 80" | Longer CPO configuration |
How to Measure Your Navy Rack Mattress
Before choosing a topper, measure the mattress currently installed in your rack rather than relying only on rank, berthing area or ship type.
1. Measure the width from side to side across the mattress.
2. Measure the length from head to foot.
3. Measure the mattress itself, not the metal rack frame or available opening.
4. Compare your measurements with the Rack Mat sizes above.
